THE DISGRACEFUL DISCHARGE

Wiping his brows, Captain Adams looked at the NYSC corp members on the parade ground with disgust.

“These are the worst set of Corp members ever deployed to Delta,” he thought, “ordinary slow march, they can’t do.”

He screamed at them, his voice hoarse from all the shouting, “Walahi talahi you people go buy job if by 2 o’clock, you still can not slow march by numbers. You wan disgrace me? You wan mess up my parade? Before you disgrace me, I go disgrace u.”

Arranging the ranks for the upteenth time, he said “We’ll take it from the top.”

“Praayyyy prayyyy shuunnnn”

A loud sound of boots hitting the dusty floor echoed in the air, “lef right, left right… Slow march by numbers, SLOW MARCHHHH!”

The corpers set out marching in their numbers in a uniformed manner to the Captain Adams and other officials’ admiration.
